Extremely wide magnetic imaging of the testicles

Precise examination for assessing the testicles and surrounding tissues

Extensive magnetic resonance imaging of the testicles is a highly accurate and completely radiation-free examination that can be used to assess the structures and possible changes in the testicles, epididymis, blood vessels, and surrounding soft tissues.

Magnetic resonance imaging provides detailed information in situations where ultrasound examination does not provide sufficient certainty, or when a more comprehensive assessment of the anatomy of the area and possible inflammation, torsion, or tumors is desired.

The examination is painless, safe, and provides very high-resolution images—without ionizing radiation.

MRI scan times

Thanks to the Deep Resolve AI technology developed by Siemens, imaging times are significantly shorter and images are more accurate than before.

The examination takes approximately 20–30 minutes to complete.

When can magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the testicles be useful and necessary?

Problems with the testicles and surrounding areas can be vague or prolonged. MRI is an excellent examination method when the cause of the symptoms is unclear or when a diagnosis needs to be confirmed.

Typical reasons for magnetic resonance imaging of the testicles include:

  • Prolonged pain or discomfort in the testicular area
  • Swelling or changes in the size or shape of the testicles
  • Suspected inflammation or circulatory disorder
  • Suspected testicular torsion
  • Unclear findings in an ultrasound examination
  • Suspected tumor or abnormal tissue change
  • Injury or blow to the testicular area
  • Examination before a procedure or surgery

Visio Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the testicles provides a comprehensive overview of the condition of both the testicles and the surrounding tissues, offering a level of accuracy that no other imaging method can match.

How to prepare for the examination

Magnetic resonance imaging of the testicles does not require any special preparation. You can eat and drink normally before the examination. During the examination, the area will be cleared of metal objects and clothing, and you will be given examination clothing.

If you have any metal implants, for example in your blood vessels, please inform us in advance.
